Help · Reading the report

Read your report

Start with Start here, then the section your desk owns, and read each finding's label before you act on it.

  1. Read Start here: the moves most worth making, risks first, then by how firmly each was measured.
Start here, at the top of the report. From a sample report on a fictional outlet, The Daily Chronicle.

  2. Pick the section your desk owns — Framing for editors, Production for the desk, Platform for the tech team — and read its findings.
  3. In each finding, read the label first. Measured and Analyzed findings are firm; Estimated and AI-coded findings are for discussion, not for acting on alone.
Each finding's label, top right. Press the ? beside it for what the label means.

  4. Use the detail sections when someone asks which stories or which desk: they show the checks page by page and desk by desk.
