OnlineJourno · The Audit

A full editorial audit of your newsroom site

Audits your newsroom's production habits, on-page SEO and platform exposure, and checks your public security headers and AI-crawler policy — with fixes your CMS or tech team can act on.

How The Audit works, and what every term in the report means →

Price: ₹999 + 18% GST (₹1,178.82) one-off report.

What you get

  • A report on one masthead, built from your public pages and the Search Console export you upload. We need no access to your CMS.
  • Findings on your story framing, production habits, on-page SEO and platform exposure, each with a named fix.
  • The report as a web page you can read in your browser, print or save.
  • Your report stays available in your account for 12 months.

Purchases are paused while we validate report findings. Reports already bought remain available.

What your site needs for a reasonable audit

We check several of these automatically before you pay, and will not sell an audit to a site that fails them. The rest we cannot check in advance.

  1. Your site is public: no login wall, and it does not block automated readers.
  2. A sitemap, declared in robots.txt or at /sitemap.xml, that lists your articles with their dates.
  3. At least 30 articles published in the 90-day audit window. Before you pay we check for at least 30 in the last 7 days.
  4. A byline, published and modified dates, and Article or NewsArticle schema on at least 80% of articles.
  5. Articles in English, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil or Telugu.
  6. Article text present in the page HTML, not only drawn by JavaScript.
  7. A Google Search Console export. It is required; a Google Analytics 4 export is optional.
  8. We read only public pages. Some findings, such as story framing, are coded automatically by a language model.

What this audit does not cover

  • PDF, Word or PowerPoint files. The self-serve report is a web page only.
  • A malware or vulnerability scan. We read public-facing posture only.
  • An accessibility (WCAG) audit.
  • A full backlink audit.
  • A legal or compliance review.
  • A crawl of every URL on your site. The technical crawl is deliberately bounded.

How the report is made

The report is produced entirely by automated checks. No person reads it before it reaches you. Editorial framing is coded automatically by a language model, so treat framing findings as machine judgements, not an editor's reading.

Your data

We keep your report and the job data behind it for 12 months, then delete them. To have them deleted sooner, write to support@onlinejourno.com with your job id.
